Wreck City. Wreck Wreck City Bitch.

Life's been a Whirlwind of pack and unpacking, stacking and unstacking, and organizing to get out to camp! Needless to say I've been a little behind on the blogging scene but I'm going to start catching up! I promise!

Found a tiny bit of free time when I was stopped over in Calgary to check out this inner city art project called Wreck City. A block of land was purchased by a developer, this piece of land had a bunch of character homes standing on it which was let go to a community of artists who took over the houses, to paint, install, and create art pieces. The creativity was amazing, so much random, swings, slides, wood, sounds, yarn, paint and every other medium you could imagine. I would go into detail but its something you just have to see to understand. I would highly recommend checking it out if you get a chance. Actually I just looked and it is over but you can check out their facebook page here. I managed to take a few photos, but just spent most of the time adventuring, and exploring all the nooks and crannies.

Before I peeled out to Calgary I managed to write up a little poetic piece. Have a read if you like.

I've come to the conclusion, that we are all an illusion, constantly moving, grooving, looking for a place that's soothing. Soothing to the soul, a place to make us whole, and to grow, and mold our beings, but I'm seeing, the most freeing feeling is that of beating the deceiving depiction of that real life formula that we're supposed to adhere, for the ones who don't, they swallow their fears, they live their years, being free from the tears that are caused by conformity, they live abnormally, loving enormously, growing internally, fine with uncertainty. Don't resist it, live in bliss, the closure is this, I'll always be a wanderer, a real life ponder, free to see and be as I please, I just hope to find someone who will wander with me.

I am now at planting camp. My favorite place in the whole world. Photos and love soon to be revealed.
